Fine or chunky glitter?

Fine glitter creates an even shimmer made up of tiny particles. With chunky glitter, the individual pieces are more visible, adding larger, light-reflecting details to your look.

Choose fine glitter when you want to define a design or create concentrated sparkle. Chunky glitter is ideal for bold, freely placed glitter looks. You can also combine different glitter sizes in one makeup look, following each product’s instructions.

Defined sparkle for glitter tattoos

Fine glitter works particularly well for stencil glitter tattoos, as the small particles help bring out the details of the design. Alongside cosmetic glitter, you’ll need a stencil, a suitable glitter tattoo adhesive and a brush.

Choose one colour or combine several shades in the same design. A gold star, pink heart or turquoise mermaid all follow the same basic method – just change the stencil and glitter colour.

How to apply fine glitter

Loose glitter needs a product suited to holding it in place for your intended use. For glitter makeup, you can use Glitternisti’s Glitter Primer, following the product instructions. Apply it to your chosen area, then gently pat a small amount of glitter on top with a brush.

For glitter tattoos, choose a dedicated glitter tattoo glue. Always select the adhesive or primer according to the area of skin and intended use: the same product is not automatically suitable for every look.
